values its working partnership with both Innovent
Technology and Orchid Information Systems in the development
of IT solutions, which enables AQM to offer the most
up to date and unique concepts to aid our members’
livestock business’s now and into the future.
Currently available to Members of AQM are:
- AQM Grading Analysis from the
AQM website, and then
- a web based browser for immediate sight of weights
and grades at slaughter coupled with an analysis
system that can be incorporated with farm production
records and a ‘what if’ programme at
the touch of a button.-
- an imaging system for 24 hours a day monitoring
of growth rates and weights of pigs without the
need for any labour input.
- Finance - AQM has close links
with many areas of the finance sector and can facilitate
a means of easing cash flow requirements particularly
with new ventures and within business expansion
plans.
- Nutrition - Advice and help to
ensure the correct diets for cattle sheep or pigs,
to meet the demands of least cost production and
to achieve a carcase to yield the best return. This
is accomplished by close relationships with the
best in nutrition – for example Harbro Nutrition
Ltd
- General Advice on all aspects
of store and finished stock selection, breeding
stock selection and re-stocking options for pigs
after depopulation.
Examples of:
- School and Catering Supplies
– AQM is a major shareholder, and supplier,
within Ashlyn Growers and Producers Ltd
(AGAP). This is a ground breaking development
of connecting locally sourced food to schools involving
a Training Kitchen and the supply of seasonal menus
and the supply of locally sourced quality food to
the Restaurant and Catering Trade.
